Special Education Teacher, K-8
The Kirbyville R-VI School District, a 4-day week school district, seeks a special education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Experience as a process coordinator preferred. Collaboration and teamwork are key attributes. The ideal candidate displays patience and consistency in the classroom and individual behavior management, as well as the ability to instruct students with varying disabilities so they meet their individual goals. The teacher will use assessment for learning and integrate technology into instruction. The teacher will write IEPs, participate as a member of the IEP team, and assist in conducting evaluations using the SpedTrack program within the compliance regulations.
